Omani Proverbs is a collection of popular sayings compiled at the end of the nineteenth century by Surgeon Lt. Col. A.S.G. Jayakar, Acency Surgeon in Muscat from 1870 to 1900, who travelled widely in Oman, and contributed to learned journals studies on the Omani and Shheri dialects of Arabic.
